Songs: You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be
notes / gigs / releases
At the conference centre, as the sun beats down
Making it look like the architect's drawings
As you stand there in your hat and grin and gown
I'm imploring
You - don't plan out your whole lifes
Based on careers advice
It's a bunch of lies
Here's a word to the wise
You can be whatever you want to be
You can be whatever you want to be
I liked Battenburg back when I was child
I wished that I could have it for my tea for my whole life
You should never solid book your menu plans
When you are nine
When I was 13 I'd happily refuse
Ever coming into contact with girls or booze
I was an idiot then
But really, so are you
You can be whatever you want to be
You can be whatever you want to be
Like a cat who burns for the great outdoors
Thought he's kept cooped up upon the seventh
You're well fed well loved
But you could be so much more
You can be whatever you want to be
You can be whatever you want to be

This song was in my BRANE when I woke up on the morning of 24 September 2010, when I was in York with The Walkway On My City Wall. I went out to get a LEMON and sang it in my phone whilst walking, then finished it off about ten minutes ago, today on the 26th. It's something I'm always on about - it's ridiculous to tell THE YOUTH that they HAVE to decide what they're going to do with their life when they have absolutely no idea what the life actually IS - but I tried to make it a bit jollier than normal.
I also made it even easier to PLAY, at least at the moment - F and Am throughout! PEASY!
