Sean from Fortuna Pop! decided one day to do a Jonathan Richman tribute album, and I stuck my hand HIGH in the air saying "Ooh! Ooh! Can I do Dancing In The Lesbian Bar please?"

At the time The Validators had just started recording stuff independently at home, so I asked if any of them fancied joining in. Only Frankie seemed keen, so once I'd recorded the song to my satisfaction I sent it off to him. He not only added a GRATE guitar solo but also did a REMIX, which I think sounds rather fab.

The compilation never happened so the song never got used - this seems to have happened a LOT!
