GIGS WE'VE DONE

I swung back into ROCK ACTION the month with one of the best EVER Totally Acoustics, featuring Winston Echo and Gavin Osborn. I had a lovely day at the John Peel Day celebrations, a brilliant night out with The Validators at Jamm, a GRATE afternoon in Leicester for Oxjam and, just last night, a DELIGHTFUL evening in Sheffield. A good month for ROCKING!

RECORDS

Our exciting new single "My Boss Was In An Indie Band Once" came out this month, accompanied by the rather groovy video, which you can see HERE: http://www.mjhibbett.net/myboss. Thanks very much to everyone who's BOUGHT it so far - there's only a few copies left now, so if you'd like one GET IN QUICK!

I've done a couple of interviews about it too - this week I did a thrilling JOINT INTERVIEW with Mr Phil Wilson on Mr Bob Fischer's BBC Tees show, and earlier in the month I did a live session on Phoenix FM for Mr Paul Golder. You can see a video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba-zsCsmjF0

Meanwhile we've just started the process of recording the Dinosaur Planet ALBUM. The first recording session was a couple of weeks ago, with the next due in November. I've also finished another draft of the SCRIPT and it's all looking RATHER exciting. Watch out Jeff Wayne!

OTHER THINGS

I've recorded a song for Maps Magazine's Halloween issue, which you can download for free NOW: http://www.mapsmagazine.co.uk/Articles/halloween.htm . It's a version of a song written by Mr Robin Hare for our first band, The Masters Of Nothing, called "Rather Spooky". It's always been one of my favourites, especially since we revamped it for use in my next band, Voon, so I hope you like it!

Voting has begun for this year's Festive 50 over on Dandelion Radio, HERE: http://www.dandelionradio.com/festive50.htm

We didn't get into the chart last year, and we were GUTTED! Everything on "Regardez, Ecoutez Et Repetez" is eligible and we'd be EVER so grateful if you'd consider voting for us. There's been some discussion recently within The Validators about suggesting a particular song for people to vote for, like "My Boss Was In An Indie Band Once", in order to maximise our chances. That doesn't feel right to me - if you'd LIKE to vote for "My Boss Was In An Indie Band Once" that'd be LOVELY, but please do not let me sway you into voting for "My Boss Was In An Indie Band Once" if you don't want to.

That's "My Boss Was In An Indie Band Once". Just as an example.

All right then, that's more than enough of that, thanks for listening and see you next time!

Cheers,

Mark
