|< issue 128||issue 130 >|
Hello all, and welcome to this FESTIVE edition of the newsletter. We've got SINGLES, SHOWS, SCRIPTS and STOCK to talk about this time, so let's get to it!
GIGS TO COME
Thursday 3 December - The King & Queen, London
Totally Acoustic with Gavin Osborn, Harry Carr and a Christmas set from ME.
Check http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/gigs/gigs.php for more information.
ROY WOOD IN THE BLUE NOTE
This year's Christmas song 'Roy Wood At The Blue Note' is being recorded even as we speak and should be out in the next couple of weeks - there'll be a special message to alert you to the fact as soon as it's ready!
The next Totally Acoustic has a decidedly CHRISTMASSY flavour, with old chum Gavin Osborn returning, Harry Carr bringing his QUIZ SHOW, and ME doing a whole set of Christmas songs. It's all happening on Thursday 3 December at The King & Queen in London town. Meanwhile last month's show with NJ Hibbett (and Lin), ĦAy Carmela! and Ivor Game, can be heard in all its glory on the podcast, HERE:
There'll be a previously unreleased Validators track on this year's Joyzine Advent Calendar - our version of 'Deanshanger' by Prolapse. It'll be GRATE to have this finally released into the world as it's ACE - look for it during Advent somewhere round HERE:
Meanwhile mixes have been listened to, feedback has been provided and now the fine folk at Snug Studio are working on a second draft of the new Validators ALBUM. We're hoping to get it ready for release in Spring but you will, of course, be hearing ALL about it before then!
THE DREDGE/HIBBETT CONUNUNDRUM
Mr John Dredge and I have made a sort of 'Best Of' compilation of sketches which looks SUSPICIOUSLY like a proper sketch show. See for yourself, HERE:
I've updated my writing website so that you can now READ excerpts from some of the scripts I keep banging on about. Go on, have a look HERE:
A recent spate of stock-taking has meant some changes to the online shop. 'Shed Anthems' is back in stock but several singles are now sold out. There's also only a few physical copies of 'Dinosaur Planet' left too, so if you've ever wanted one now is the time to get it!
Or if digital music is more your thing, Bandcamp have added a new feature called 'Gimme All That Music', which means you can buy our entire digital discography at a bargain price, so that if you click on any of our albums you'll be given the option to buy THE LOT for half price!
And I think that's more than enough for this time - thanks for listening and look out for the Christmas newsletter in just over three weeks!
