I had an email this morning from someone asking whether they could book us for an event - this ALONE sounded exciting, as nobody's EVER asked such a thing before. Yes, we'd (very occasionally) been asked to play the odd gig, but booked? For an event? INTRIGUED, i asked for more information.

Oh my word - it was someone asking us if we'd like to be considered to play at next year's Great British Beer Festival! HOLEY MOLEY! I replied very MUCH in the affirmative - it's the DREAM GIG of a LIFETIME surely?

Wonderfully enough, the chap in question had heard me (and us) on Radio 6 - as Tim pointed out, that means he hasn't even HEARD The Symbol Of Our Nation, let ALONE all the other songs on the album about PUBS. We're on to a winner here! WAHEY!
