Today I have been and bought FORTY POUNDS' worth of stamps! Forty Quid - for STAMPS! That's a LOT, to go on about 80 envelopes, ready for mailing out. Handily, I've got last week's Sopranos and this week's six feet under to watch tonight (I try to avoid a two week TV backlog, that's how EFFICIENT i am) so all I need is a big bottle of water and OH! the exciting fun I'll have in store.

I bet Bruce Springsteen doesn't lick his own envelopes.
